Well I always thought most of our pets are better than most of us people right? So we are going to highlight the animals in our life. Today we begin with Rufus, a big dog in a little body!! Randy and Jamie recently lost Rufus.
If you ever walked on the beach on Johns Pass you met Rufus. We asked Jamie and Randy Thompson to write a couple words about him. Here is what they wrote..
Rufus , alias Rufus Dufus, or Rufie Boy. Lived Aug 2003- Oct 2019 Little dog with a big dog attitude. Also affectionately called ”the sheriff“ when in the presence of other dogs. He would run up and down the beach barking and biting at waves. Known for his voracious appetite and lack of discernment, he would eat deer poop, salmon carcass, and even a dead bird. Meal time was his highlight and he would sit upright for minutes begging for food at the table. A great walker, he hiked Tip-Top many times. He was my best buddy and I will always miss him. Jamie and Randy Thompson
We will miss this little guy. He was a great island dog💕
We will miss the little guy. I’m sorry for your loss
Awww, Rufus, you were the highlight of our walks by your house! We miss your sweetness, ever-beingness-scruffiness, and you being you! It’s just not the same without you, sweet boy.
