Charlene Renquist hosted the first 2016 Stuart Island Book Club.  “The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter & Sweet” is a novel based upon true events that occurred in the Japanese / Chinese districts of Seattle during World War II.  Going along with that theme, island readers were treated to Asian decor, cuisine & a traditional Japanese Geisha welcoming everyone. A good time was had by all.
