Hey Pilots – edited

We understand there will be a crane operating at the camp dock on Johns Island next week – October 23 +/- a day or 2. So watch out for this potential hazard east of our runway.

CHANGE – the dates are fluid, the awful weather the last couple days delayed things. Just beware of this potential hazard

The crane showed up yesterday. Here is a photo. I don’t think it will be an issue with a normal takeoff and landing profile. However, if you are low for some reason, ie a go around, just remember that there is an obstacle. The following picture was taken from the east end of our runway, facing east towards Johns Island.

Keep your eyes open

This couple has been involved with trouble, and kicked out of, on the west side of our island. They have recently been removed from the State park as well. Please keep a look out for them. Let your neighbors know if you see them here. This is the gentleman that crashed his boat on Cemetery island, and it remains stuck and mostly submerged on the west side of Cemetery. Please don’t give him a ride over to our private island. In the mean time it’s probably a pretty good idea to keep any valuables locked up. We have a pretty good neighborhood going here, let’s put our “neighborhood watch” program into full action.

Our Dock

Many thanks to our neighbors Rob Matson, Warren Jones, John Kavandi and Rhys Spoor for putting in the effort to make repairs to our dock. This picture is of the land side of our dock, the ramp leading to the water side of the dock. It was in disrepair and it is now dog approved. Thanks guys!

Trash Removal

Owner Ken Snyder has arranged to have a container brought over to our island for removal of some large trash items. If you have need for a way to get some old stuff off the island, contact Ken, he is setting this up. This will happen some time later this month.

Harbor Propane

Customers on Stuart – East:

We will be coming to Stuart-East for some service work and tank deliveries, plus a few fuel deliveries for people who will out of fuel before our fall delivery.  If you need a tank, this is a good time to get one as we have room on the barge for additional tanks, service and maybe some fuel.

Call us.

Sincerely,

Bob Rautenberg
