The neighborhood meeting will be on Sunday, May 24, at 10 am at the community hangar building.  Of course the always fun potluck will be held later that afternoon.

Also, there will be a board meeting on Saturday, May 23, and everyone is invited to attend this meeting.  It will be at the community hangar as well.

Vanderyacht Propane will be coming over on the barge on June 18th.  If you use them for propane, and need a refill, give them a call.

FYI, I got a report yesterday that the runway is dry and useable. Watch out for deer and geese!

Folks, the runway is really wet and soft.  Usually our trouble area is towards the west end – I have heard that the east end is pretty bad now as well.  We had another pilot get bogged down on the east end a few days ago – some neighbors helped pull him out of the mud with a truck.  Then, as he tried to get moving again, he caught his prop in the mud, bye bye prop.

Smaller tires will sink into the mud, damaging the runway and possibly damaging your plane.

We’re going to have some work to do getting the runway back in shape once it dries out, but I see that it rained again last night so I don’t expect the runway will be better until we get a dry stretch.

I’ve received a couple reports about the runway being really soft.  Navigate to the Runway page for specifics dated 3/17, but beware, the west end is pretty sloppy.

The Humpback will be  out of service  March 21 – 29  for annual maintenance and inspection.  Please plan accordingly.
